Refund Policy

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

Should you have something come up and need to cancel your reservation we are happy to do that for you!

  • Orders can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the morning of delivery for a full refund. There are no refunds for cancellations after this, period.
  • There are no refunds for early returns or for weather, except when mandatory evacuations have been issued.
  • Daily rentals are not eligible for any refunds.
  • Once rental items have been delivered or picked up by customer no refunds or cancellations.
  • No store credits or gift cards will be issued in place of refunds.
  • Once rental item(s) has been delivered to customer (or picked up by customer), no refunds will be given. We will gladly trade for other equipment for a change fee of $20
  • After delivery has occurred, delivery fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
  • Refunds are ONLY administered by the management of Island Cycles; customers must contact a manager for all refunds. Cancellation refunds will be issued within 30 days of receipt. An email confirmation will confirm the refund; please remember debit (and some credit cards) post with a delay, as per customers’ bank policies.

  • Refunds will be issued minus the associated credit card processing fees, which are non-recoverable by our business. The exact fee amount depends on the payment processor and will be detailed in your refund confirmation.

Hurricane/Storm Policy

Should a mandatory evacuation occur during your rental period we know it can be hectic and upsetting.  If we delivered the gear to you please just leave the gear where we left it upon delivery and we will pick it up as soon as we can after the order is issued. If you picked up your gear from one of our locations please drop it off to any of our locations or call to schedule us for pick up.

  • In the event of a mandatory evacuation from the area, any requested refund will be issued within 30 days after the evacuation has been lifted by Dare County Emergency Management.
  • Customers who possess their weekly rental items for 1-3 days before evacuation are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Customers who possess their weekly rental items for 4-7 days before evacuation are ineligible for a refund.
  • Any delivery fees are not refunded once delivery is complete.
